Acts of Kindness (Day 7)

Kindness is a value which has always been important to me. It can be defined as the quality of being friendly, generous and considerate, and it can be shown through actions and words. To be a kind person, you don’t have to be rich, popular or super intelligent, you just need to have the desire to support others and take care of what’s around you.

There are so many people in this word who are unkind. People who judge others for having different skin tone or for what gender they are. People who constantly bully others just because they’re ‘different’. But what even makes someone different? We are all different from eachother. In light of a few recent events, I have been really focussing on things I could do to spread joy during these difficult times.

During the last few days, I have sent a few surprise gifts to friends in hope it will cheer them up, even if it’s just for a tiny moment. A lot of them are not feeling their best and I think it’s important to aknowledge that and try to make it better. I have also donated a few items to a neonatal charity to give them a tiny bit of light in one of their darkest times; I hope my tiny gesture might give them some hope. I think my next goal is to donate to a food bank, helping those who are out of work due to COVID-19. It is a very unfortunate circumstance and potentially could be very challenging for some.

Wherever possible, I am keen to help in making things accessible for those who may be struggling. By no means am I made of money, but I can’t imagine living without necessities or the emotional pain of having a poorly baby- especially at this time! It’s just horrible to think of people suffering and I only wish there was more I could do.

As one more tiny act of kindness, I would like to surprise one of you. If you want to be involved either:

  • Comment on this post 😊
  • Subscribe to my blog 💕
  • Like this post on facebook👍                    (you only need to do 1 of these)

Please get ivolved, even if we don’t talk or you have absoultely no idea who I am- this isn’t about friendship, it’s about surprising someone/anyone. Depending on the amount of people involved, I may even consider doing 2! The winner will be selected by a random generator on Friday afternoon. Good Luck!!

It’s kind of a shorter blog today, but I have been planning some for later in the week which have been taking up a lot of my time. I hope everyone had a nice weekend (despite the circumstances) and I look forward to sharing more blogs with you this week!

Stay safe- Ky x
