March possibly felt like it went on for an eternity, but I have no doubt in my mind that April is going to feel exactly the same. It feels weird welcoming a new month, knowing exactly how it is going to pan out; inside my four walls, for 31 days!
I think for me, April has always felt like one of the most insignificant months of the year. As someone who doesn’t really celebrate Easter, having time off and seeing those around you celebrate an important event in their religion kind of makes you feel guilty for not doing the same.
Anyhow, I thought I would do a little roundup of some of my favourite new discoveries from March because I seem to have accumalated many new things 🙊 It appears that online shopping is my coping mechanism for all of this boredom!
Most people who know me are aware that I am not really into makeup; I don’t like things on my skin, I feel self conscious wearing it and I’m simply not very good at it! I am however, very much into skin care and so I have found 2 new products in particular which are very affordable and work wonders!
Symathy for the skin is amazing and it smells like banana ice cream! Not too sticky and not too shiny, so it’s perfect for me, or for anyone with relatively dry, sensitive skin. 9/10 would reccomend.
A breath of fresh air is my favourite, and considering its the only fresh air I am going to be getting, I can’t seem to stop using it! It’s a facial toner containing a variety of different herbs/plants which leave the skin feeling energised and refreshed. I would 10/10 recommend this, particularly if you are stuck indoors for 12 weeks like me!
My food favourites for March are very boring, with very little new discoveries. I seem to have become obsessed with breadsticks and salt and pepper crackers. I might turn into a breadstick during isolation, but I think I’m okay with that as at least I’d be tall.
I have finally had the time to fall back into reading and I am halfway through an eye opening book which outlines life inside Jewish concentration camps in WW2. It’s a very easy read and I will be recommending it to everyone!
Finally, with all the time on my hands I have obviously been watching netflix. It definitely won’t be everyones cup of tea, but if you like RuPaul’s Drag Race, you should definitely try ‘Pose’. It is highly focussed around awareness of HIV/AIDS within the gay community, but it also has the lighthearted side of fashion and comedy. An easy watch, even just as background noise!
I am glad to be seeing the back end of March but I am also apprehensive for the arrival of April. I hope this month brings joy and some positive news to the world!
I hope everyone is having a good week so far, I am off to catch up with some sleep and have some down time. Stay safe everyone! ❤️
