46 days! How? 46 days of isolation complete and I am shocked to say it’s gone ridiculously fast. I have left the house only for short car journeys and have been no where else but the 4 rooms of my flat. A little bit of cabin fever but I have managed much better than I expected 🥳
I think that from this point on things are going to feel longer and get harder. I have had lots to focus on and have been managing keep myself busy, but there’s only so many times I can clean the same thing or set up extravagent projects for myself!🤣
I have had so much joy from delivering and creating my kindness packages and I still have a few left to deliver. The response has been amazing and I will be making a little video montage to share with you all. I think it’s important to show where all of your amazing contributions have gone and how appreciative people have been!
I have also found so much joy in forming new friendships with people I have been lucky enough to come accross through social media. I know some people are skeptical of online friendships but I can honestly say that these friendships are real and I will treasure them way past lockdown. So if you are one of those people, know that I am soooo grateful for you! (you should know who you are😌)
I have been doing a lot of activities which I wouldn’t usually prioritise during ‘normal’ routine. It has been quite nice to fall back in love with reading, have time to do some colouring and focus on learning new things of my interest. This time does not have to be used productively but it can be used to do whatever you choose and I have enjoyed a mixture of both productivity and relaxing.
After a tricky start to the year with an 11 night hospital stay, I think taking this time to improve myself both physically and mentally has been of great value, even if the circumstances in the world are not ideal!
Over the next few days, I will be focussing on a few different topics for blog posts and I am looking forward to sharing them with you.
I hope that everyone is keeping well and keeping sane! Please feel free to drop a comment about how you’re doing or what you are grateful for during lockdown.
